Preschool

  • Families are welcome to drop off or pick up their children at any time between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Please note that each classroom has a designated nap time, and we kindly ask parents to avoid these periods in order to minimize disruptions to the children's rest.

Drop off and pickup

  • We implement the Creative Curriculum in our classrooms. Our teachers prepare weekly lesson plans, which are made available for parents to view outside of each classroom.

  • We follow the Simply Loved Bible Curriculum.

  • We serve children from infants (starting at 6 weeks) through Pre-K. Additionally, we offer a before-and-after school program for school-age children, as well as a drop-in program. The drop-in program allows children who do not attend regularly to join us on CCPS closure days.

  • Yes! We provide lunch every day. We also offer a morning and afternoon snack each day. A menu is provided to families one week prior. If your child has dietary restrictions, we can discuss what options are available to you.

  • Good Shepherd strives to be a peanut/nut-free program. The following guidelines have been adopted to maintain a safe environment for all children.

    • No products containing peanuts/nuts of any kind may be brought into the building (including nut butter). No food items containing "nuts" in the label or that state CONTAINS: NUTS/PEANUTS may be brought into the building. Products that are suspected of likely containing nuts or nut butter will be removed and not served.

    While we are limiting the types of foods children and the Ministry Team will be eating in our center, we recognize that the Church uses the building during the Center's non-operating hours. We do not have control over food coming into our building during those hours.

  • Outdoor playtime is scheduled twice daily, weather permitting.

  • We offer an engaging Summer Program for children in grades K-5, with a different theme each year. Registration for Summer Camp begins in February. The program includes field trips each week, a variety of in-house activities, and plenty of fun-filled experiences!

Staffing

  • Each classroom is staffed with two teachers daily. Additionally, we have center assistants who are trained in all age groups and are available to provide support as needed.

  • Yes, all of the teachers on staff are Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid certified.

  • Yes, we offer tours! Our tours are usually held anytime between 10:00 - 11:30 am, Monday through Friday. Feel free to contact us to set up a tour.

  • Good Shepherd is affiliated with The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). The LCMS has more than 2.3 million baptized members in some 6,200 churches. Its congregations operate the largest Protestant parochial school system in America.

  • We operate from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

  • A sibling discount of 10% is applied to the lowest tuition rate of those families whose children are enrolled in one of Good Shepherd’s full-time programs. Children are considered to be enrolled full-time and qualify for sibling discounts when they are:

    • Enrolled in any full-time, five-day 7:00am to 5:30pm program for infant - Pre-K students, or

    • Enrolled in the School-Aged program for both Before and After School care for five days a week.

    Discounts are not applicable on any fees or services or special program promotions and cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.

  • Yes, our school year runs from August to August. Starting in June, we switch to our summer curriculum which is a new theme each year. We offer a variety of in-house activities and summer-themed events, creating an environment full of fun and discovery!

  • Yes, we use the ProCare app. You can communicate, receive pictures, and get updates throughout the day. You also will receive information on upcoming events.
